Foodbank awards leading food companies

After the presentation of Foodbank’s annual awards earlier this week, Wiley would like to take this opportunity to congratulate those companies who are raising the bar for the food industry in Australia.

The annual awards celebrate companies whose future focus supports solving food insecurity within Australia. These organisations have shown exemplary ability in their area of achievement, as recognised by Foodbank.

Food manufacturers have dominated the list this year and AFGC CEO, Gary Dawson, praised the food industry’s contribution to helping to overcome hunger in Australia, he had this to say, ‘It’s an honour for the AFGC to sponsor the Foodbank Awards as part of its annual Industry Leaders Forum Dinner, to mark the achievements of the food and grocery sector in giving practical help to those in need.’

Taking away the award for innovation this year, GrainCorp have shown excellence in assisting the industry to exceed the first year target of the Grain Program which provides over 1,000 tonnes of grain to Foodbank’s manufacturing sector.

Wiley would also like to congratulate the other winners on the night which included Kellogg’s (Leadership Award), Manildra Group (Collaboration Award) and the Flight Centre Foundation(Partnership Award).
